ART AND THEOLOGY SEMINAR
SAVE THE DATE
30TH AUGUST 2022, ST. GEORGE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, VENICE
The Rev. Dr. Alan McCormack is the Dean of Goodenough College, London, as well as an Anglican Priest at St. George’s, Hanover Square. He has helped us as a locum priest on many occasions at St. George’s, Venice, most recently last month.
During August, he will be visiting the Biennale with some of his doctoral students. The Director of Collections at the V & A, Dr. Antonia Bostrom, will also be present. They have generously offered us a short early evening seminar on art and theology, with a specific exploration of the “transgressive” possibilities of their interrelationship. There will be no charge for the event, rather it will be a splendid opportunity for St. George’s members for some theological education and reflection.
It is suggested you arrive around 5.30 pm to view The Soothsayer exhibition before it closes at 6 pm and the seminar begins.
